These unidentified Czech Ancestral photos have come from various sources all over Texas. When possible a folder is labeled with a hint of where these photos might have come from or whose possession they were once in. Most Texas Czechs lived and married within their small communities and had photos of their friends as well as families so please look through them all, you might find one of your ancestors. This photo once belonged to Frances (Faltesek) Fojtik. Her descendants do not know who it is? They feel confident it is not a Fojtik, but most likely a member of the Stiba family. Does this gentleman look familiar to anyone? Email the webmaster if so.

The family names who most likely these unknown photos of are Baca, Havran, Kocian, Kohout, Kubecka, Jecmenek, Novosad, Ryza, Sykora or Vanecek. These families lived in Fayette County, Haskell County, Jackson County, and Mclennan County.
These unknown photos were submitted by Bob Bednar. They were taken in Shiner in 1917. If you recognize anyone in these photos please notify the Webmaster and we will get them labeled.
This group of photos came from Evelyn (Stepan) Popelka. Evelyn does not know who they are but thinks they are from her mothers side of the family. Her mother was Lydia (Schiller) Stepan (1903-2012). The best guess is they are Lydia's family, the Ben Schiller- Anna Bartek family of Bell County. If you can help Identify please let us know!
